Course description:

Reportable Priority Wastes (or RPW’s), are the highest risk wastes.  They must be transported correctly as they pose significant risks of harm to human health and the environment.

Drivers who transport RPW’s must be adequately trained to do so.

This course addresses EPA Victoria regulation REG/PER_WT05. This training course is required to be performed by each driver once every five (5) years from the date of attainment, while remaining current, i.e. all drivers always need to be trained.

As Victoria’s newest and most up-to-date RPW driver training course, taking into account the new EP Act and the changes that came with it, SQPT has structured this course to educate drivers who intend to transport reportable priority wastes (RPW’s) in line with EPA Victoria’s expectations.

While it is an intensive course (there is a lot of information), it is explained in accessible terms, with intermixed quizzes to assess competence to the legal duties under the Act and subordinate regulations. It can be completed over a few sessions and that the suggested time would be 3 to 5 hours.

The knowledge provided in this course will help drivers (and managers of drivers) understand the rules and regulations around transporting RPW material.
